I like the look of the OPs second one. For me, the team has to be built around Rooney. That means playing a 4-4-1-1, with Rooney in behind the main striker.

Young and Johnson are far better options than him. Yes he is a talented boy and this isn't a dig at Arsenal but he isn't ready. The same happened with Walcott and he hasn't even come close to fulfilling his potential.
