No

I think whether he goes is dependent upon whether he will prolong his club career by another season. I can't see him going to the euros AND playing a full season afterwards at his age. Just my gut feeling though.

I think he'll stay next season. He's form has been great since returning and the 6 month break did wonders for him

He will stay, for sure.

Yeah i think he'll play another season too. So based on that, no I don't see him playing in the summer for England.

I have been wondering if he decides to stay or not. However, I highly doubt someone like Paul Scholes would go to his boss, 6 months after retiring: 'May I join for another 6 months as I feel I retired to early, and after those 6 months I will finally feel it's now the right time to retire."

I'm sure he's planning at least another season. If he goes to the Euros, build the team around him, and let him dictate the games. No English midfielder right now is anywhere near his league. He's 37 and still makes everyone chase his shadows without even running.

OP seriously?

Yh why not. Capello wanted him, Redknapp wants him at the euro's. By far the best english midfielder with only gerrard coming somewhat close. Other than Parker, Carrick and Barry there are no other CM's that should get in the team

Carrick is the one England need.

Paul Scholes cant run, Gerrard is past it.

Wilshere should be fit

Parker/Carrick with Wilshere and Rodwell in the middle

Gerrard is well and truly past it. Scholes has twice made him look like a pub team player since coming out of retirement.

Wilshere shouldn't go for a number of reasons. He's well overrated and not as good yet as some people say. He has not proved anything yet and been injured all season. Honestly right Carrick and Barry are better choices

Wilshere fit and in form would be one of the first names on the team sheet along with Hart and Rooney. Its unlikely we'll get a fit and in form Wilshere at the Euros though.

Right now the CM pairing should be Parker and Carrick, how the latter dosent even get into the squad is beyond me.

Scholes can do a job, but lets not forget that the Euro's is a possible 6 games in 2 weeks. He could play the odd 30 min cameo, but as a 1st team player its too much for him.

"Will Scholes go to the Euros?"

Dunno.

Has he got hold of tickets???

Successive England managers never knew how to get the best out of him at international level....or had the nerve to drop the favorites. If he were Spanish or French the team would have been built around him.

You can take the whole United squad to Euros
At his peak Schole couldn't get into the team, so what makes you think he'd set the world alight at this age??

There's no doubt he is still England's best midfielder and he should go !

I've been amazed at his return, I thought he would not be half as good as he's been since he's come out of retirement.

Scholes for England !!!!!

Uh, yeah he could, idiot.

Scholes turned his back on England years ago, why would he want to go now?

posted on 1/3/12

Scholes was awesome for England until he started getting played out of position.

Best England midfielder for 20 years

He won't go. let down too many times to consider ruining his PL swansong season next year. The only rival player i enjoyed watching rip my team apart.

So Paul Scholes, who retired at the age of 29 and had 66 caps, couldn't get in the England team in his prime?
