Paisley, are you got_betters grandad?

10 points is a big ask plus you would have to rely on both Arsenal & Chelsea to fall apart.
Perhaps one team yes, but not two.

Paisley, football is a strange game anything is possible

You have to hope Spurs and Arsenal tank (which is what I'm hoping for). And then that you outperform Chelsea and Newcastle. Any of these things on their own is reasonable, but for all four to occur is a tall order.

if we perfom like we did last season when daglish took over then we are in it with a shout but its a big ask to say the truth

Not going to happen. Forth is gone, we lost it due to our tactics. Now is time to test new tactics out and introduce some of the younger players to the bench, at least. We have nothing to lose, we're already qualified for Europa but everything to gain.

32 points to play for.
Would have to say the tactics of dominating possession, and creating a hat full of chances in most games, wasnt that bad to be honest.
We just failed to buy a striker worth the name.

Hat full of chances from outside the box and from corners and freekicks. Having nobody in the box, to convert crosses or to run onto a pass, from wide positions has caused our wingers to be redundant and us to draw and lose games. Our goals seem to come from the outstanding, instead of goals other clubs around us are scoring, by getting amongst defenders, passing it and simply slotting it in.

I watched Benfica the other night and they had five players in the box when the ball came in from wide. Needless to say they scored a few goals.

Suarez isn't a striker so can't play as a lone striker as he likes to drift to the middle and out wide which leaves absolutely nobody in the box, causing the wingers to have to go backwards and pass to the fullback.

We have major problems with our tactics, in my opinion and this has shown throughout the season. Now we have a chance, to just go for it and that is what i believe we should do.

I agree.

We havn't really played badly this season, unfortunatley in the final third our front men could hit an arsenal with a bango. Even from the penalty spot

its not impossible but 15/2? i don't think thats value.

i'd want 20/1 or more before i'd punt on it.

not impossible but would require a run thats highly unlikely.

Why do people think we get so many corners? Because our shots are from positions that we are unlikely to score from, outside the box mainly and the goalkeeper saves.

We have big problems with goals, due to our tactics of one player being in attack and when this player is Suarez, we have no players in attack a lot of the game.

Cos Downing can never get his cross beyond the first man.

Have a look at the teams you are playing in this run and how you fared against them earlier in the season. Then factor in that the bottom 5 sides are fighting for their premiership lives.

I think a 10 point deficit even with a game in hand is just too much

He could if he bodies in the box to aim at, which he doesn't. I mean he isn't one of the most consistent chances creators in the league for nothing.

With Arsenal and Chelsea always prone to ridiculous results, there should be a chance. However, we're a bit preposterous, aren't we?

I have 100% faith that Arsenal and Chelsea will drop plenty of points, but unless there's some sort of goal-feast coming our way, we'll never take advantage.

If one of our players was asked to roll a penalty into an unguarded net, I'd watch it through my fingers.

I remember I used to cheer a penalty like it was a goal. Now I say to myself, oh we have a penalty, that's great.

A lot of deliveries from wide positions have hit the first man which has also contributed to the corner count.

We don't get enough players in attacking positions. We have dominated most opposition, but lack cohesion up front. Downright wastefulness, a reluctance of our midfielders and wide men to gamble, plus poor positioning from Carroll when he has played, has hit us hard.

A penalty or two nestling in the onion bag would also help.

Do the math's and youll have your answer

its only Bellamy who scores regularly whenever he has played, suarez is poor at finishing, henderson dont even know where the goal is, adam is too greedy to pass to others in good shooting position (agaisnt Villa when he could pass to Shelvey). In short our attackers do not score regularly no wonder scoring less goals than Norwich

yes, as there is no point whipping in into an area for players to attack, it has to be exact, due to there being only one player in the box at most, and normally, it's Suarez, who prefers it on his feet. This will normally result in one of the four or five players around Suarez intercepting it. However, get more people in the box, then you'll see the difference.
