Australians can be very racist towards Aborigines....
When I first went there I was actually shocked by how apparently friendly, respectable people on the street will talk about, or even TO, an aborigine person.
A lot of them ended up on the streets, thanks to the way they were taken from their families in the early 20th century and a lot of water has gone under that bridge...
You should watch the film 'Rabbit Proof Fence'... It's quite depressing what happened to such a peaceful people when we all showed up and decided to turn Australia into a 'civilised' country.
A footling is one who is born feet first and, in the past, he was often begged to trample on a sufferer or to rub his feet against an afflicted part.
