If India win toss and field first, they won't do themselves any favours. Paks will have a chance batting first, however if India bat first and score anything over 250 that should be enough.

No pressure game for Pakistan. I fancy us to do you guys over, our batting isn't electric, but your bowlers are poor to the extreme.

oh yh i just remembered that this match will have no effect on where pakistan stand in the tournament. damn it, oh well for india its a must win case, and hence they will fight it out. but afridi come thursday next week for the finals. although all india vs pak matches are bigger than final, i can assure you that you will feel the heat more than the players in the ground will

I don't know what Pakistan are good at these days... Can't set targets, nor chase... So I say Misbah should toss a coin...

Tails- We Bat
Heads- We bowl

Ofc, Pakistan has to win the REAL toss for the above to happen..

Viru, if India lose they are going home mate... Alternativey if Pakistan lose heavy and India get a bonus point, Pakistan will be knocked out. This is providing that lanka or bengalis win by a bonus point.... Group is still open.

avfc, to be honest india as a team have reached its lowest point in the last one year. now unless you bring a namibia and they lose against them, we can cannot go any further than that. In the near future i see ms dhoni resigning cause there is no way he is going to carry on if we keep on losing like this. I think srilanka series will be the last of dhoni's captaincy, if we fail. I personally like dhoni and think he is by far the best captain india have, but also feel sorry for the guy that he doesnt have a single bowler who he can expect to take wickets regularly.
coming back to what u sed, hmm its going to be a close contest, cause u have the gd bowlers, and we have a pretty gd batting line up. i just read an article on mohsin khan, and he cant believe that pakistan lost to england 4-0, he also goes on to say that there is something fishy in dressing room, as the body langueage and the morale chaged so much after the test series.

yh afridi i know that if we lose there is no looking back and just take the next flight to india, but as i predicted i think we will win it. and im not even going to comment on srilanka and bangladesh, cause atm both are unpredictable.

One stat that was conveniently ignored by most of you yesterday - the sachin 100th 100 came in sachin 200th ODI loss.... That's correct, he also holds the record for the most defeats in Odis- 200 is staggering.

yesterday in my rankings of the greatest players ever to play cricket, i left a third spot free, because i think no player deserved the spot. but today thnks to ja606 i have foung a legendary player
afridi i fecilitate you with the no.3 spot and carry on your gd work

Viru,

In my defence, I post either on a factual basis or opinions. My opinions are there to be scrutinised and lauded, I don’t mind that. But the above stat was factual, so don’t see the issue with that one boss

If we do not idiolize tendulkar, we are the biggest sinners on the planet.Chappel was right.India need to get rid of status quo in order to reassert themselves in international cricket.

u know what pr, the stats u r showing are baseless and meanless. take for example dravid who was the only one to score 3 centuries this summer. everyone applauded him and said what a grt player. what happened? we lost, why because the other failed and bowlers were never going to pick 20 wickets. tendulkar has been doing this for 23 god damn years. u compare this ponting and inzamum, but these 2 guys had mcgrath warne, gillipsie, bretlee, wasim akram, shoib akhtar, waqar, and many more, sachin hasnt had any. its about team work, but sachin has always, for most of the 90s and 2000s, the lonely fighter of india. a team like australia would need 200 runs on the board and they will win it? why because they have had the bowling to restrict opponents. has sachin had that? no. you guys do say cricket should be teamwork, but again bring stats that implies that criket should be won by one person.
look at the match of pakistan vs bangladesh. pakistan could only score 260, and still they won. why couldnt they score 350+. at the end it was just bangladesh? why shud it be different for india. now you will say oh because india's bowling is crap, but isnt that the reoson why we have been losing matches from a winning position.

posted on 17/3/12

generaly you see if pakistan team won a wc, it would unite the whole of pakistan, for india, one man and that is tendulkar that unites the whole of india. this guy has the power to unite different ethnic, religious and different cultures to become one and enjoy. if he stood on elections today, he would become prime minister in a day cause everyone would vote for him. he is a force that brings joys to 1 billion people. to india, to all the indians in the world.
the funny thing is when i was 7 years old, when i used to just play cricket and not watch it, i still knew who tendulkar was and wanted to be like him. thats how much of passion every children in the streets of india have.

sprinkler you wouldnt know what he means for indians. its not worshipping, it that he has given continous joy to the country for 23 years. india dont have big personalities that are well known in the world and having leaving in a corrupted atmosphere due to the politicians any one would be liked if he was as gd as tendulkar is.
btw not that he will stand for elections, but ask pakistanis why imran khan is liked so much.

Viru, I am delighted and honored to be in your rankings of the greatest players ever to play cricket, I am happy to be placed at no.3.
I do take your point about Indian bowlers, whilst that’s a contributing factor to many defeats, you have to accept that at times sachin can step it up abit – the bengla game was a prime example of that….. regards to elections and winning it. Imran Khan talks a lot of political sense and his vision for the country is what will attract voters not his cricketing abilities. If sachion was do stand for election, he’d be elected on the same basis, not on cricket. His legendary status as a great cricketer will remain intact regardless.
