Gravediggaz, Geto Boys, Three 6 Mafia, Hopsin, Brother Lynch Hung, Kool,Keith.
thanks people....
will check that all out on the way home
I went with Army of Pharaohs and Jedi Mind Tricks which seemed to hit the spot.
Honourable mentions to Gravediggaz, brotha lynch hung, hopsin, hell razah, syringe and tech n9ne
Not a bad choice at all. A lot of material to choose from.

I was gonna comment on the same thing today lol
The beats which focus on the live instruments sounds so unique imo. It's glorious.
Not a fan of when he switches to a more digital sound.
Also his flow isnt on point or it feels too rushed or fast on some of the beats.
Good album though and one of my favs for this year.

________
Hasn't this been true for every song he has been on?
It's been a while since I listened to Kweli so I'll admit I might have forgotten his style.
Unfollowed Talib on twitter a while back. His racist rants went way too far.
Just listen to him on Respiration, epitomises it.
I think I should actually revisit Black Star's stuff.
Getting a bit bored with listening to the same stuff these days.
New Eminem album is beyond dreadful
I think it's got some good tracks but some real low points.
Don't get him tbh, on his features over the last 5 or so years, he's done some of the best verses i've EVER heard. Yet his albums have been bland as hell.
Anybody listened to the Black Thought freestyle on Funk Master Flex?
Can't wait for that Roots album.
Possibly the best freestyle I've ever heard...probably just below when Cam was counting money and caught the holy ghost back in the Rap City days.
Black Thought releasing something exceptional and thought provoking is very much par for the course.

Your welcome
Heard that Eminem/Beyonce song on the radio the other day.
What a load of sheit, sounds like Macklemore trying to do slam poetry.
Yeah it's not very good. Does have a few good tracks on his album though. But too few highlights for the numerous low points
We didnt have a D'Js Hip-Hop Thread awards for 2017
Chloraseptic remix is better than any track on his album. Strange.
Plus did anyone get cyhi the prynce's album last year
