Aus,, illegal downloads are the way forward!!
____
i prefer the actual cd, you know reading the inserts when they had lyrics also i rip em into FLAC.

Oz hip hop is crap, the only rappers I have heard of are Hiltop Hoods and 360 or something.
____
i leave in oz doesnt mean i listen to oz hip-hop i personally hate the stuff. I kinda know the Hilltop hoods my mates brother went to their high school they used to get bullied. Rapping their from the Hood yeah right you live in Blackwood an affluent suburb in South Australia & their fake accents aswell.

Yeah, love a good insert book, but they became rarer and rarer.

A lot of the time they stopped listing things like producers, samples and the likes, and just had a picture or 2.

Kurupt used to be my favourite rapper, during the Death Row days. Preferred him to Snoop, Pac, Biggie etc.

Failed to maintain it though.

Kurupt sang "its over" ???

Don.
Yeah, not exactly typical of Kurupt tho.

Thats sort of when he was trying to sell records.

surprised no one has mentioned jehst in terms of best british hip hop artists. his lyrics are quality - he makes a lot of good music.

my favourite hip hop artists are 2pac, nas, AZ, jehst, foreign beggars (before they went all dubstep)

posted on 17/3/12

Lifes A Beyaatch off of Illmatic is another of my favourites, Nas and AZ. What went wrong with the Firm album?!?!?

Not really heard anything of Jhest to be honest.

posted on 17/3/12

not sure DJ. i've only listened to a certain number of AZ songs that i've downloaded - don't think i've come across that album. take it it's not worth listening to?

one of jehst's best.

i loved the passion in 2pac's track last ones left.
hit em up, ambitions as a rider, dear mama, so many more 2 pac tracks i cant think of now

i used to listen to a lot of hip hop back in my uni days. a lot.

now ive become slightly older, it doesnt interest me anymore. i dont wana drive my car listening to how many b|tches a rapper has sha-gged or the latest supercar hes brought

much rather listen to feel good music now

The Firm album was Nas, AZ, Nature and Foxy Brown. Exec Produced by Dr Dre.

Should have been a classic.

Probably not as bad as I remember, but certainly not as good as anyone hoped.

Had singles like Firm Biz and Firm Family if I remember correctly.

Mr Chelsea, you listen to the wrong sort of rap...

posted on 17/3/12

i will give that one a listen to at some point.

same here, mr chelsea. during my teenage years i listened to loads of 2pac and other UK and american hip hop. don't listen to it that much now... rarely listen to new stuff.

2pac has so many great songs.the only hip hop artist i could really say i'm a true fan of.

posted on 17/3/12

djeezus yeh i didnt listen to the type of rappers you listen to, to be honest. i probably wish i did but as i said, past that stage now..

One of my favourite hip hop tracks. Two Titans coming together. Would love to hear more from those two together.
