Kash,
Not sure why you want to drop the boy Azzam, didn’t put a foot wrong. Why misbah doesn’t bowl him, I have no idea. I agree about wahab and rehman though, that would be a good change. Wahab needs to go back to the drawing board and start all over again. Personally, I still think he’s potentially a quality bowler, but this is often determined by his confidence.
Kash, if you look back at the last 18 months, its very very rare that Pakistan lose a game because of their bowling. Personally, I think we had an off day, and give me 329 on thusday again, and I’ll bite at it. I don’t see us repeating that performance again… also, that Kohli performance doesn’t happen every week either, so not too worried about it. …… however, will we get to over 300+ again……. That’s the question!!!
Dead rubber games aren’t made for Pakistan. Bring on Thursday .

"Dead rubber games aren’t made for Pakistan"
I'm sorry Afrifi but you can't call that game a dead rubber
Afridi the reason why I said drop Azam is cos if he aint gonna bowl then no point keeping and for a young guy he is a poor fielder while Shafiq is probably our best. Yesterday our fielding was so bad that we gave easy singles and 2's and this has to stop.
As for Wahabi, I have said it many time that he is a complete lottery and your namesake is not having a good few weeks is he with both bat and ball?
Also in the 18 months we have not faced India and this hoodoo that i'm talking about. It's like Nadal and Djokovic or Federa and Nadal or when Liverpool used to thrash Leeds in the 90s
Lets hope we perform when the main game is on Thursday if yesterday was a dead rubber
Neon - Who is better at test is perhaps an argument for another day.
Kash agreed, it's all in the mind. I would extend what you say and say Pak would've defended this total of 329 against any other side in World cricket other than India.
I think the test series between the 2 nations are a fair reflection of where the sides are in world cricket. Pretty even in the 70s, Pakistan better in the 80s and 90s, India better in 2003-4, Pak better in 2005-06 and India better in 2007-08.
In ODI, I agree, it seems to have started since the WC2003 and seems to be having the same effect as the Sharjah match in 1986 where Miandad hit a six of the final ball, but this time in favour of India.
The sad fact is that apart from Ajmal for Pakistan and to a lesser extent Ashwin for India, both sets of bowlers are sub standard and the games will always end up as a fielding and batting contest. That gives India the advantage.

Dernbach – that’s what this site is for, difference of opinions are good and health on forums like this. It would be boring and pouintless if we all agreed with each other . Fact is Pakistan were already through to the final, if they didn’t concede a bonus point – objective was acheieved. We move on.
Kash, abit harsh calling him a wahabi – out of order mate, the salafi bros wont be impressed
Agree, afridi isn’t exactly performing and he’s been a massive threat over the last 18 months, lets hope he can pick it up on Thursday. I wouldn’t mind giving shafiq a run.
Im not sure that india are Hoodoo mate, just look at the overall records in ODIs and Tests – they speak for themselves. Anyone that thinks otherwise ought to read the stats, read again, re-read, digest and accept it
Like I said the rubber was dead. I saw ajmal and Afridi yawn whilst fielding. No doubt thinking and planning ahead for Thursday
JT do you read your cricket encyclopedia every night? Your the man for stats, dates and times
Hope I think you are spot on about the pace bowling. We clearly have not replaced Asif and Amir and Gul is good at times but average also at times. The likes of Cheema and Wahab are pretty average. Maybe if we played India in England things may be different but not in the sub cont.

Kash, I've just got an amazing memory , except when it comes to birthdays, wedding anniversaries, where my car keys are etc.
Afridi, You sure that was not you yawning in your segregated mirpuri wedding?
Afridi forget the overall stats for now. In recent times in Sub Cont conditions we have found them hard to beat and some were not dead rubbers. If we beat India on Thursday I am will to do any forfiet (thats how unconfident I am).

Kash, whats with the jealousy because I went to a wedding with some quality food and delicious looking girls around.. Not my fault your mrs probably cooked up some nasty left over daal from last week, is it?? – that’s what you get with an uddersfield mortgage
True they have been beating us recently – but the game yesterday was a dead-un… I’d love to see some you boys come back on Thursday and eat some humble pie
Hopefore – ive noted your comments
Dernbach -
JT – Pakistan bowling poor and Indian favs
Kash
And so on and so forth……. The blood is green boys…… Thursday is what matters
Afridi not jealous at all but you have to admit Mirpuri weddings are pretty dire as Taufeeq Umars batting. You don't get to see the ladies and when your eating you have 5 people in a queue behind you waiting for you to finish eating so they can eat
True Thursday against Bangladesh is all that matter
True Thursday against Bangladesh is all that matter
That's not entirely wishful thinking kash but the next question is, could you even win that game.
Afridi - from a Pak fan
"Pakistan v India, the Mother of all ties will take place on Mother’s day, what a fitting tribute for a tie which will make the whole of Pakistan and India stand completely still. Whatever people say I believe truly in my heart, no other cricketing tie in the world comes close to this match-up, other games may be seen as typical competitive games, but this is war."
That doesn't sound like a dead rubber to me mate

I'm not having a pop at Afridi it's just to be honest i though Indi - Pak was the ultimate in rivalry etc & now it's a nothing game.. seems a bit odd that's all
Guys, knowing Afridi like i do he was just being sarcastic and like me was not very happy when India beat us. Even if BD score another miracle win tomorrow and we win the cup it will be slightly tainted by the defeat to India but nevertheless a cup win is a cup win.
