Does as well as the Diaby Haven?

Give it until the end of the day

Since the main focus was on Mass Effect 3 then it won't really be any good until everyone completes it.

The video game board is getting monotonous lately.

Steve Once I've done this marking, I'll launch into my feelings about the game and ending. Might take a while typing on this iPod.

R2M - What i ment on the ending on ME3 the other day was that you should get all 3 options at the end to either destroy the reapers, control,or synenergy, rather than just having the options being based on your military rating. That's what a lot of people got hacked off over because some only had the 1 option to destroy the reapers, along with earth and everything else, which gives you the feeling of "all of that for nothing".

Plus every ending in it's self has 2/3 different variations. I can also see how a lot of them were mad that there was no "closure" on the trilogy. It's assumed that Shepard is killed, but get the 'perfect' ending, and it's assumed he's alive, which has left a few confused over the next ME since there wasn't any closure.

Plus with EA on board for the next one,it'll be more of a money maker sadly than a fan pleaser.

Not sure it'll be all too different, other than my gripes about some of the relationships/dialogues. I mean, what the hell, you don't even get to see your romance after you speak to them all after landing. And what was with not being able to have a proper cut-scene conversation with Ash for most of the game?! Then they fling 'I love you' in your face 4 times in half an hour...

Ahem...I best get back to marking for now...

Steve there are a few negative points on the game. Also as a warning IF YOU'VE NOT BEATEN MASS EFFECT 3 DO NOT CONTINUE READING THIS.

In all honesty ME3 feels somewhat like a shell of a game. It doesn't have the heart or deep character interactions present in part 2. Also with less squad mates and bit parts from previous players they could've done so much better making those characters much much deeper.

There was also a lack of worlds you were able to travel on. Everything was Citadel. I thought there were too few on 2 but this was ridiculous. I understand everything was under attack but still. The galaxy felt so much smaller to me. Taking the guts out of an already amazing game in part two.

Gameplay while decent wasn't to my liking either. Too quick and clumsy. All the RPG elements they brought back were great. That's where the first game hooked me. Love the depth of customization. Dialog was great. Story amazing. EDI

I thoroughly enjoyed the series as a whole but I feel they may have rushed 3 by about half a years worth of material.

Blue - The romance seems to be more of a filler than anything else. Just put in to give it more of that "end of the world" feel. So you have to have a relationship

You get a bit of benefit with having a little bit more dialogue with them at the end back on earth in the final mission, but that's about it.

I agree BB. They short handed us on the relationships which is what's made this series so special. I romances Jack and there's the one mission where I help her and the kids and then I dance with here at the club and then nothing but a crappy letter and I love you at the last mission. What's the point?

R2M - I didn't really have any complaints about the gameplay it's self. Squad mates did a lot without being told, and when they were told to move and attack they did it without running into each other.

I love games like this for the story more than the actual gameplay. Such as MGS series. All of them had good gameplay, but each could have been better, but the story made it one of the best games ever.

As for the story in ME3 it was still good, and the whole build up to the ending was great all-round. Especially the last mission on earth when you see everyone that you recruited. Was good listening to Wreav's speech to the other Krogran, and the Geth commander etc. But as i said, depending on how the person did during the game, the ending can be a huge let down.It just depends what your rating was.

Did you recruit the Geth on your's? Tali died on mine through that choice.

I did and nobody died throughout.

R2M - She died when i recruited them, but i won't go into details incase it spoils anything for you if it happens in your's next time.

I missed out the mission to the acadamy to save the gifted kids on my first time through. Just done that one this time. Then back to cure the genophage to recruit the Krogan. Or to the citadel to romance Ashley

Steve, you killed Tali?! I got peace.

I agree with most things you said RtM. I did like the combat, although I feel the dialogue/overall interaction with characters took a step back from 2. Like you said Steve, the relationship felt like a really minor subplot, after they built it up so much before the game. Particularly if you'd cheated on your ME1 romance. I cheated on Kaidan in my female game with Thane as I gathered he'd die anyway and I could go back to Kaidan (if he'll have me) Although I did practically blame him for me cheating, which he seemed to accept...

Still, although there wasn't enough travel, it was awesome seeing the home worlds of the different races and the poignant moments that occurred on each. Music is great also, adds so much more emotion.

Also, in a purely platonic way, I agree... EDI She's hilarious. Especially default male Shepard's reaction to her recycling the oxygen joke.

Blue - I didn't kill her. Not directly

Definitely agree on the theme for the game. Great music.

Most of my first game was based on either "them or them" one race or the other to join the fight. As with the Geth for example. They joined me. But Tali died as did her race. But as a result i got the majority of the Geth army.

Agree on the travel as well. Although there's quite a few places with in each location.

Again though we can't really tell what ME4 will be. As i said with EA in the frame it will probably be out in the next 1-2 years if they have it there way. They go more for money than they do fan pleasers, especially with games like this that have a huge fan base and a long running story. If it's left down to strictly Bioware then i'd imagine it could be atleast 3 years before the next one. Have a feeling Shepard might still be in it tbh. Could have been a bluff from Bioware that this was the end of his story. Plus with DLC ment to be out in April called "The Truth" it supposedly goes on from what ever ending you chose in the game. So that'll be interesting if true.

posted on 19/3/12

Oh, I thought this was it for the ME franchise? DLC will be interesting.

I went all paragon on my first go, so got both Quarians and Geth on board. Would have been gutted if I'd got the Tali death one. Although I did feel somewhat bad for conning the Krogan second time around...until I remembered I had Wreav in charge and "Eve" had died, so it was probably for the best!

posted on 19/3/12

Blue - Apparantly not. I posted it on the other Haven a few days ago that two of the directors from Bioware said that there would be more than the first 3 ME's.

I had the Krogan onboard all the way in mine My type of people
