Tired, my 'arris!
Go down that route and you won't resolve anything!
Tell it as it is! They're a pile of shiite!
Stop Protecting Them, Kenny!

Unterseeboot 3851 we, as Reds, do not make excuses for 'next year' I think you are confusing yourself, again. We will continue to improve. Yes, we will suffer setbacks, embarrassments, etc., but that's all part of the game. I look no further forward than the next game when hopefully pride in our club will be restored. jimmyTheRed

When Kenny appears to be "sticking up" for his "tired" little team, he is really attempting to deflect criticism from himself as a manager. He has got more than eleven players doesn't he? Why can't he balance his resources better, and don't talk about injuries! Every team in the Premier has injuries!
The only true reason for losing consecutive games to teams like QPR and Wigan is a manager with a tired brain!

I don't really understand what he thinks is going to happen when we get into Europe? He went on about how good the squad depth was so why isn't it being used?!
It's just a poor overused excuse. Give these guys a real dayjob and financial worries and see if they are 'tired' after that.
Pathetic. I'm ashamed of my club.

But unfortunately, Fred, this is the sad face of modern day, mega bucks football.
The FA and the Premier League are to blame for it IMO. They've introduced expensive foreign players, prima donnas most of them, who demand mega wages and do little to show for it. That virus is also attacking British players, many of whom have less skill, but that's not necessarily true. I think it's out of control now. In order to pay wages the gates have gone up, and we have no choice but accept handouts from the kind benevolence of rich businessmen who just want toys to play with.
Kenny's got a short memory: in his day he would've played a European Cup match, a Saturday match and a midweek match without flinching. Yeah, we were a business back then but players weren't ruined by ridiculous wages. If they didn't step up they were dropped. Doesn't happen now though it should.
Football is ruined. Has been since the Premiership started. Not a man's game any more, just a bunch of big girls.

I thought that was the whole purpose of Kenny's transfers, to bring back the british, non primadonna core.
Didn't that work out well

But like I said the British have the virus, too. Rooney is the biggest girl of the lot.
The difference is, though, I think the British players are more likely to stick around for more than one season while the foreigners have no loyalty and no alliance, Torres being a case in point.
Nope, the British thing hasn't worked, but then there was the League thing about having the number of English players in the squad. I think Kenny was probably trying to follow that rule, or thought that our homegrown was just as good. Sadly, so far, it hasn't turned out that way.

I guess you're right as per usual .
Although I don't think we can tarnish all foreigners with the same brush (Reina, Zola, Solksjaer etc etc). Hopefully Suarez will fall into that bracket.

For me the worst part of his interview was when he want on to question the people who make the schedule, as if there had been some huge conspiracy to force Liverpool to play 3 games in six days...
Also as many other posters have said what the hell is he going to do when you are in the Europa League next year?!
I think you even have to go for the early qualifiers (though if you win the FA cup I think you skip a few stages) should probably ask about this on the Birmingham board. Next season if you are successful (not going out of competitions early) then your players really will be much more tired than they are now. Which given their performances recently must be a slightly scary thought.
