Ideal departures

Sky Sports is reporting Andrew Taylor is close to joining Cardiff, imo this is a shame as I thought he was a important player end of last season. However, it had me wondering, due to us needing to shed the wage bill in a ideal world what players would you want to leave? Personally for me, Boyd, Mc Manus, Grounds and Lita can all go to help clear the wage bill as i feel they all either add nothing, or are not consistent enough to play in a hopefully succesful team.

It's big earners that we need to leave:
Boyd, possibly Digard, Hoyte, anyone else on Prem wages.

Taylor was on Prem wages, but his contract's up. If he signs for reduced wages, great. If not, sorry, we can't afford him.

I think Lita leaving would be a mistake, who would we (realistically) replace him with? He did well after TM came in, and you need someone to score goals - not something any other of our strikers seemed too comfortable with

Taylor..... yawn. Solid yeah, but hardly a 'game changer' - no point in paying over the odds for him to get him to stay.

A loss, yes, but certainly not terminal.

As a long term Boro fan (Almost 50 years) and season ticket holder, I have had many discussions over the years about players and know that we all have differing opinions about there abilities and worth to the team. Let us therefore not concern ourselves with those who have left i.e. Taylor and Arca, Although decent enough players, neither were worth the outlay in wages which I'm sure Tony Mowbray will eventually put to better use.
Who else would I like to see leave ?
Hoyte - He has pace which he doesn't always show but rarely crosses a decent ball, not good in the air for someone around six foot, is often caught wanting defensively and has shirked more than a few fifty - fifties. (Mcmahon is better and much more dedicated to this club)
Miller - Why on earth did anyone agree to pay money for him ?
Lita - Whole hearted but, no vision, too selfish too often and nearly always to the detriment of the team. He is also too similar to Mcdonald who has a better temprement and goals per game ratio.
Emnes - Quick but no vision, doesn't deliver quality balls into the box and an extremely poor goals per game ratio. (Speed alone is not enough and if we can get decent money for him, I'd take it.)
Digard - Good player and could be excellent at this level but, it appears that his heart is elsewhere and that's no good for a central midfielder. Again a fee and his wages could be put to much better use.
There are a couple of fringe players I would also consider letting go if it would help bring in what we need (Grounds and even Franks anyone ?)
If we could only unload that lot it would considerably ease the wage bill and give us a few quid to spend on the right sided midfielder we have needed for many seasons and a big, good in the air centre forward to give us an extra option up front.
I know this won't match the opinion of many of you but, this is a new site and deserves some support so I've let you have my thoughts in my first ever post anywhere to try and stimulate some conversation or contrary opinions. Everyone is entitled to one and they are all as important as each other so, come on and shoot me down in flames or give us your thoughts. "Come on Boro"

I pretty much agree with all that BoroBri except the Lita part, We need to keep him as he's a regular goalscorer at this level and we've not got the luxury of having too many of those at the moment.
