I've just woken up to reports that where linked to this guy, he plays for Anderlecht and is a forward/winger.
What do you think of this prospect signing for Liverpool?
From what i've seen hes very similar to our very own Suarez, drops deep, more of a support striker than a centre forward, good on the ball, judging from that, is he really the kind of striker were in need of?
If we persist on playing a 4-3-3/4-5-1 than i guess he fits into that system, with him playing as a wing forward, with Luis on the opposite flank and a target man in the middle.
This of course, boils down to the fact that if these reports are to be true and going by our current turmoil, can attract a player of his calibre.
Matias Suarez!?

Belgium league is poor. Remember Jovanovic and Lukaku. But I could be wrong. I have not seen him play so I can't really judge him.

I would steer clear, he'll be another voronin, degen, le taalac, etc, etc

If we are to play with a target striker, then we need wing forwards that will cross.
(Luis) Suraez's strengths lie in his ability to take on defenders, not cross the ball in. Playing him wide narrows our game, Suarez wants to be in the middle to dribble through, not running up & down the flanks. Likewise, Carroll thrives on crosses - he is a good header of the ball anywhere in the box. Not much point him being there if the ball isn't coming in about 8ft or 9ft in the air.

You are absolutely 100% spot on 3mustgetbeers, especially about Andy Carroll. "Not much point in him being there ......" JimmyTheRed
