I've been writing a few comments so I thought I'd just make an article.

That would be a good summer however I can see guthrie Gosling Lovenkrands Simpson all going as well as Forster. At least Smith is gone! Also doubt Mbiwa would come to sit on the bench. The again if we get Europe we can rotate.

Apparently he is a cb but he can play in a full-back position. So stick him at right-back?

im a spurs fan and think you should be more ambitious than that. im not saying this cause i hate newcastle but rather the opposite. Thats a perfectly good transfer window if youre competing in europa league next year but dont you want to go on to the next level and compete the manchester and north london teams. Newcastle should really look in the transfer market and find 3 15 million players. Then champions league is not beyond you

It's against club policy and with respect just because you spend big money doesn't mean they'll be better. Just look at Cabaye Ba Tiote and Ben Arfa and that is proof. All 4 wouldn't look out of place in CL

yes youre right sorry. Youve made alot of quality signings with little money. What i should say is hopefully you will find 3 players who will be worth 15 mil 12 months from when you get them. If you find the right players that could make the EPL onn of the most exciting years for a long time next year with the 2 manchester andd 3 london clubbs aswell as newcastle all fighting for champions league football and with liverpools money they may get closer( the key word is may as in very unlikely)

If we sured up our defence and brought in one more class midfielder (Hoillett) i think we could challenge the big teams easily.

You guys have nearly got the first team to beat anyone, but, and correct me if i'm wrong, you need more squad depth once you actually end up in Europe if you don't want an unceremonious re-entry.

That's spot on really. The first XI could beat most teams, it's just depth (especially in defence and a little in midfield) that holds us back. Hopefully we'll sign a CB and a LB in the summer then we might be able to push on next season

centre back has to be priority, i would like tomkins from west ham, he looks a very good defender from what ive seen and he would be good back up, mbiwa or douglas would also be decent but doubt they would be to come here to be behind colo and taylor.... perch

attacking wise we have a enough centre mids and strikers just maybe a left footed winger, adam johnson would be lovely but too hopeful

Johnson, Hoillett.. A winger of that standard would be great. However we need to stop signing African players. We will be in another striker crisis when the ACN comes round again, 4 first team players leaving would cripple us. Maybe we should just go for Vertongen, unless there is a cheaper option although I don't think we should go much lower than him quality wise.
