Following on from KD's comments over tiredness this weekend and the ambitions of the fans to get CL football the following season, is this seen as a realistic target cinsidering the vast gulf in the top 5 to 8th placed Liverpool this season who go into next seasons campaign starting in July with tue Europa qualification, can Liverpool cope with the possible extra 19 games a season and the thursday, sunday fixture schedule with the odd 6 thousand mile round trips to eastern european venues?
With this in mind will FSG provide extra funds for Kenny in the summer or will it be a case of recoup what you spent on supposid failed aquasitions?
Next season... realistically

Its not the amount spent....its who its been spent on. By spending less than they got from Liverpool, Newcastle have built a better side!

I see the points over net spend and its valid but what has been spent is 100 mill or close to it and that is also very applicable, would you agree in terms of output what has been brought in hasnt been goid enough barring suarez and enrique?

its not enough(financially) to radically improve the team/squad. We sold players for around 60/70m...so we only upgraded by 30mill from a team that finished 7th! having lost Mascerano, Torres etc etc

At at the present time, no.
But less than one season is giving a new team with new players little chance to prove themselves.
On the flip side, Adam is a squad player and plays like one and the £35m spent on Carroll looks to be a huge mistake. It all looks a bit much for young Henderson at the moment and Downing has been inconsistent, but I think he will prove a valuable player for us.
Suarez has been great as has Enrique for the most part. However, Enrique has had a couple of shockers recently. We desperately miss Agger and Johnson in our back 4. Playing Carra has been catastrophic given his penchant for dropping a ballack in any game he plays these days.

Newcastle had a settled squad from last season. Brought in a new manager, made some changes and have done extremely well. Reminds me of when Kenny first took charge last season.
But credit is due to Pardew, he's done a top top job
Lets see how they do, when they go through a barren spell. Then when we'll really see what they made of. Expectations will be higher next season, especially with the Newcastle fans.
As for us, one more season - If Kenny is still making the same mistakes, then he'll have to go!

Oh stop saying we spent only 30mil, we spent another 70mil on rubbish, if we had spent that on 3 decent players not downing carroll and henderson, we could be so much better.

@ Leiva la vida Lucas
Newcastle lost some pretty important players not to mention getting a massive stack of cash from Liverpool for Andy Carroll, it was hardly a settled squad. Pardew just spent his money far better than Dalglish did and will likely have to again as I foresee some teams raiding Newcastle's players, I suspect Ba, Krul, Tiote and Ben Afra will be high on target lists for other managers come the transfer window.

Our billionaire owners spent £30m on the squad and have recouped it.
I see this issue as vital even if you don't.
