While Real Madrid may be still struggling to find a way to beat their arch-enemy Barcelona on the pitch, one can never debate their marketing acumen when it comes to selling their brand as arguably the most recognized football brand in football
It has been announced a few days ago that the Real Madrid hierarchy are seriously contemplating the construction of a "Real Madrid Resort Island", at least that is if Mr. Florentino Perez is to be believed.
This Resort Island is a $1bn resort built on a specially constructed island in the United Arab Emirates featuring sports facilities, a marina, luxury hotels, villas, an amusement park, a club museum and a 10,000-seater stadium, all to open in 2015. Move over Galapagos Islands, this is the Galacticos Islands.
Also there are rumours of a holographic match display inside the stadia.

Take a look-see at what the future may hold for football...I think it is a rather unique venture and I presume that in the ruture more and more clubs would be looking to use ventures such as this to get around the FFP rules.

Actually it is to be completed in time for 2015. I honestly think it is a viable and unique way of marketing on their part and with them estimating that 1 million visit per year that would be some serious cash coming in over time
