Just saw something on Twitter that surprised me (via Opta): 73.4% - Barcelona’s average possession in CL games so far this season – the next best team have averaged 62.6% (Man Utd).
How the hell did we look so poor yet manage to be second highest in the possession stats for the whole competition?

our overall possesion was good, but shoddy defending and poor finishing cost us this year.

I can see where this is going.
Hafijur will I'm sure be here soon. He may well be better qualified to answer your question.

Hopefully Mondays game was a one off because despite our possession our passing especially in the final third was atrocious – there seemed no real cutting edge to our attacks (Valencia aside) our final delivery was poor – especially from full backs and there was no movement from anyone – only when scholes game on did someone appear capable of controlling the tempo, switching play and push the team forward. Why we have not found a suitable replacement for him is a massive concern – you only need to see the difference he has made to our team and performances since he has come back to see that a high calibre signing so we don’t have to rely on him

its worrying how our midfield gets dominated by anyone who presses us - Djembele and Diarra make Carrick & Giggs look like 60 year olds.

No offence, but that's probably got a lot to do with the quality of the opposition. I still find it hard to believe you didn't get out of that group.
