If i'm honest i think we need quite a few players (4,5,6) to be a decent team, by that i mean a champions league side, capable of pushing the Manchester clubs.
But, i think it's fair to say almost all Liverpool fans are agreed there are two specific areas of our team that need improving:
Right Midfield
Out and Out Striker
But who ?
Right Midfield:
Adam Johnson estimation: £15m ?
Eden Hazard estimation: £30m ?
David Hoilett estimation: £ free
Striker:
Roberto Soldado estimation: £23m ?
Huntelaar estimation: £15m ?
Falcao estimation: £30m ?
Cavani estimation: £35m ?
Question to be asked,
Will any of these come to us ?
Can we afford any of these ?
Who would you prefer ?
Needed ?

fair post Patriarch,
think most of us are praying and hoping, rather than thinking we can get certain players.
Who do you lot see as the answer to your midfield problems?
Modric?
Alonso,he would work well for you, but i am hoping he still has loyalties to us and would turn you lot down

If Xabi Alonso signed for them I would honestly look for a hit man! There is no way he would disrespect us like that horrible little prat from Hawden!!!!!!!

Can't see Alonso at United, for two reasons. I think he is too similar in his style of play to Carrick, perhaps our best midfielder anyway so we need a bit of variety, and why the Hell would anybody want to leave Real Madrid for United at this moment in time? Doesn't make sense.

Martinez would give utd the thing they lack the most imo. Stability in the CM, and he can fill in CB considering your lot are always injured.
Hes a top top player imo.

Hoilett looks like a great signing for whoever manages to get him and the ST department is a tricky one.

Hoilett for free? we have to go all out to get him imo, hes talented and at 21. we have no RM, hendo is never going to be a RM why dont england play him there if its position? He looks useless there. Kuyt and Bellamy, both strikers who are getting on a bit. He wont play Sterling or Maxi so it seems.

I remember when Fletcher was coming through for United, Fergie kept on playing him on the right wing. Looked an awful player, but then he wasn't a winger and Fergie wanted to give him experience before moving him into the middle where a mistake can prove a lot more costly. In the following years Fletcher became an invaluable player for us, so much so that people suggested that if he hadn't have been suspended then United may have beat Barcelona in Rome. I'm a bit dubious about that, but you never know.
But it reminds me of Henderson. The whole world knows he isn't a right winger. KD must be playing him there to build up his experience then slowly move him into the middle like Fergie did with Fletcher. Yea a lot of money was spent on him but you Liverpool fans are going to have to show a little patience with him, i think.
And like I already said, I'd love Martinez at United. Think he's a class act.

I also think we missed out on Lucas Barrios.
He's not amazing but is a very well rounded player and would've done a job for us.
Althought the main reason he is leaving Dortmund is lack of first team football (Dortmund agreed as they feel they can do better though.)

They'd come if we paid them enough money.

Being realistic, you aren't going to pay them enough money to persuade them to go to Liverpool.
