My wife and one of my best mates were proper Mods,as I just dabbled.
Mate was in Tigers Bay Mods,Belfast and they were hard and cool as.Big tiger head on the back of the parker and they would scare the skinhead gangs at the Easter Monday dig/fight in Bangor,Co Down.
Most Mods here wore the Union Jack stuff,like you mate,but some had green,white and orange targets etc.
I think they all got on and were into music,clothes and scooter first..........and annoying the skins and bikers.
The dance rave thing here brought us all together as well.........in the 90's,and I loved it.Still listen to some trance/dance music,like an old fool,and we're off to Ibiza on hols with my wife and 4 yr old daughter in May.
No disco biscuits,or Donagadees as we called the tabs now though.Ah well,good times were had and happy memories.
