I think my point was that the people mocking are fans of clubs which are bigger losers than the club they are taking the pee out of.
City would have been happy with second and such a high points tally at the start of the season, their problem is that they were so good in the first half of the season that they raised expectations too high.

If we were in United's position we'd be giving it out big to our neighbours but I doubt we'd be as gobby as S-pudz or Gooners if we were scrapping to finish in the same position as last season.

of course if United do blow it (and I don't think they will), it would be the biggest wumfest the world has ever seen.
