There was a corner and it was headed out, Coates was on the half way line and hoofed it into the box. At this point Skrtel pushed someone down on thr goal line so he was onside. Agger came to head theball to Carroll and he finished it.

Then Carroll tracked back and won us possession back. Then on the ensuing attack Carroll won a freekick on the edge of their box. Then from the corner after the freekick was deflected out we ended up getting the ball to Agger who headed it on to Carroll who was onside by no fewer than two Blackburn players and he buried it just under the crossbar.

Then we celebrated.

Skrtel was wrestled to the ground by the young Blackburn defender and a bit of a tussle ensued with Skrtel giving him a bit of what for.

This resulted in Carroll being onside when the ball came in and he did what he is good at, drove a header into the net.

What really happened was that Blackburn hit an outswinging corner into the box. Carroll rose like an electrified salmon and caught it on his chest. Then, with the outside of his left boot and before the ball hit the ground, he flicked it over an inrushing Blackburn midfielder, ran around him and controlled it forward, charged into the Blackburn half, did a Henryesque turn to beat the last defender and hit a rocket into the top corner from fully thirty yards.
That's what happened.
