What If It All Goes Pear Shaped

If the worst happens and MK Dons don't make the playoffs or lose in either the Semi or the final what needs to change next season so there is a realistic chance of making an Automatic spot?

Strike force changes obviously, but does Robbo need to change the way the team plays against the stronger defences, how many times has the team had the ball for over 55% of the time, but come away losers or with a draw

Should we keep Bowditch, Charlie, Williams, Doumbe, and of course the already signed on Darren Potter I fancy us for the autos next season if we sign on a few defenders too!
We need to seriously set our sights on the autos next season (Should we not go up!) as I didn't think we seriously set our sights on it this season, it was more "We would love automatics!" instead of "Anything less is failure!" which could of course go pear shaped itself with added pressure!
But that's what I think we need more of, pressure to get results next season, we can't lose a game and say "We played some fantastic stuff!" because you don't get points for style, you get points for results!

I really think if we keep the key players and sign on more defenders next year than attackers (Maybe Smith, and Beevers again!?) we have as much a chance as anyone because I can't see whoever comes down being as much of a threat as the teams who've come down over the past few years have been!
I think the teams coming up will be more a threat than those coming down! Swindon, Oxford, Southend etc all have a chance of coming up and causing problems.

Like I said we need to set our sights on automatics and automatics only! And if we get loans, don't risk losing them, make sure we have another player either lined up straight away or already in the squad!

1st Off: Great news about Potter, I thought we were going to lose him. As Robbo says there isn't a lot that needs changing and its important to get a settled side who know each others' game.

Hopefully we will get Neil Mellor and we need a right back urgently. I suggest Lawrie Wilson from Stevenage, which although he now mostly plays right midfield would be an assess to the squad (we could also plug him on Stevenage fitness & tactics).

I would love Beevers to come back and if Gleeson does go, I have full confidence Williams can step up, while George Baldock would be an able deputy. We also need a fast wing man who can dribble the ball as well as giving crosses Charlie Mac Donald can run onto.

But we won't need the League 1 autos next season as we will already be in the Championship.

Must say it seems every year we seem to have a good few youths establishing themselves into the team each season, and I think it's about time Baldock stepped up! He's done well everytime he played!
So I'd be happy to see Baldock step up a bit but I still think we'd need another CMF.

Like Furz said, right back is urgent! Should we get Mellor I think he can score goals but I fancy Bowditch to score more next season now he's settled down!

I'm a massive fan of Lawrie Wilson but I think he'd cost a lot and possibly not fit into the style of play, he's also attracting Championship interest (Us then )

I am sure Robinson & Winkleman know exactly what we need. I think that they both have players in mind and are already getting some feed back on their enquiries.

I would like to see some older players brought in as too many young players in a team does not always give you the result you need, especialy in defence.

It's about time we did well in the playoffs, so come on you Dons don't let uss down again.

Yes well done on signing Potter, or the crab as he's known around these parts.

Beevers staying with us unfortunately lads.

You mean in hoofball land.

Why would Beevers want to stay with you? As soon as his contract is up he will be off and well done in making a player out of that donkey Llera.

B.eevers is far better than Llera, was amazed how well Alby played last week at Spurs
