FSG might have realised that investing in young overpriced British average talent is not having the desired results, although to early to judge after one season. Hopefully they will change this view and realise British players are vastly over priced and are mostly average (look at the failures of the National set up).
Or maybe they are continuing their Vision and Comolli has opposed it and has been shipped out. Kenny is suggesting that the targets where his and Comolli helped bring them in. In this case Kenny might of got it wrong but agreed to tow the new FSG line, or was originally going British through advice from Comolli.
FSG are not happy with something in the set up? Heads have rolled regardless of how nice they try to dress it up in the press.

What you can not possibly have is someone bringing in the transfer targets that isn't the manager.
This is actually common preactice in the major sports in the USA.
Kenny should be in charge of all things football.
