Southampton are interested in buying Scott Dannot if, sorry when, we are relegated.
Bloody hell they must have 3 awesome defenders that they feel will need more of a challenge!!!
Finally GOOD NEWS

Good luck to them
I will deliver Dann to them myself, what a terrible signing he has turned out to be. Awful.

And to think Arsenal were gonna buy him

Wish you had with hindsight
Could have at least then invested our money in someone who shows an ounce or worry, pride or defensive ability!

That can be the problem with new signings, their heart just isn't in the club

Sad but true, really could have done with a decent defender though this season. Our defensive record proves that. Shame we got rid or froze out all of our decent experienced defenders.

He'd have been perfect for Arsenal, a terrible defender!

Never mention Arsenal on Pies threads!!..Scott Dann I feel a little but sorry for. He would have been sold a pack of lies about partnering Samba, Givet and Nelsen all season. I bet it sounded great to have such talented defenders to play with. Makes me sick to have those three unavailable.

OOJW: I have always enjoyed your thoughtful entries here, thanks.
Are you going to write the eventual book about this sad saga, maybe even an LET article to begin with? I know I have labeled myself a conspiracy-theory bloke and I could be way-off but there is something VERY fishy here and it doesn't come from the Leeds-Liverpool canal!
This disaster is more than incompetence, this seems planned from start to finish
Getting Angry Now, Duggy
PS Do you think anyone from the press reads this board? If so they must surely by now sniff what we have smelled for months

Thanks very much Duggy for the kind words, but there are much better informed and more knowledgeable fans out there than I.
I am just an older fan like you and miss the connection I used to feel with the club.

Yep, previous relegations (too many to recall) just seemed to have a certain inevitability about them in the preceding years; we sort of knew it was coming. Leading players aged, younger ones got poached by bigger clubs, crowds drifted away and depression set in, even when managers were fired.
We knew we had it coming.
But this one was so sudden in football terms that it seems so contrived, there were at least 10 teams as relegation candidates before us in say November 2010.
Some day all will be revealed I hope.
