When you get a sychophantic @r$e licker like liverpool Echo reporter David Prentice writing the following you know the eartha is about to hit the fan.
"He is an excellent manager who keeps hitting the glass ceiling.
Is that ceiling down to lack of quality/investment,or a lack of adventure"
Any one witnessing the capitulation to the crowd over the park last week would say it was down to the lack of adventure.
The manager makes his team play in a defensive, frightened manner.Scared to take chances in case they make a mistake.
Not good enough for EFC imo.
THE WRITING IS ON THE WALL

CE - we usually agree on football tactics type threads, but you're way wide of the mark here imo.
Felli wasn't playing as an out & out striker today, not a chance mate.

TB,
my point was the team selection and formation being a lot more positive than against liverpool.
He STARTED 4-4-2,admittedly for a short period, maybe to set the mindset, then Fellaini alternated between alongside, and in the hole behind, Jelavic.
Watch the start again if you recorded it.
My point was the positive formation, and the amount of men we got in the box
The point was the managers mindset v Utd a team who had dropped no points at home in this calender year, and a very poor liverpool side,as once again proved today.
Uriah, the 6 finger joke is a bit stale now,you have used it that many times.

CE - we started the derby at the pit 4-4-2 & then he moved Victor out wide left.
I know where you're coming from, but we hardly parked the bus last week. We just had a carp day at the office imo.
Having said that, after weathering their post half time attacks, at the hour mark I thought we were comfortable & I'll always thing that if we hadn't gift wrapped the goal for horse head, then we'd be in the final now.........
Moyes couldn't win with you today, if he'd have gone defensive, you'd have slated him & after he's gone more attack minded (albeit with the same formation ), you're still slating him..............hindsight, a marvellous gift........................................

TB,
i am not slating him at all today,i am and will slate him for last week.
The way he set them up today ( i will resist the wink) is what i have asked for.
Them tw'ts were there for the taking last week.
If we played with the mind set shown today last week we would be booking our hotels now.
I have said on numerous occasions we have a side capable of playing attractive, attacking football,if he takes the brakes off.

I will never tire of a joke the fist time I use it

Fellaini alternated between alongside, and in the hole behind, Jelavic.
