Phillips offered new contract

Well, on reading today's Burton Mail it appears we're offering Jimmy Phillips a new contract:

I haven't got the foggiest what the guy has done all season to deserve this. Rowett, I thought you may be the answer. After the last two disastrous results and this act of comedy your P45 awaits as far as I'm concerned.

Any more bad news like this, Iam sure there will be a new kit for the new season. Prom dresses for the home games and clown suits for the away games.

What is worrying me is that Rowett is making decisions for next season that could damage this club even more.Something tells me reading between the lines that Rowett has already got the job as manager.
7-1 , 4-0 defeats and maybe worse to come yet. Surely not , surely not. ?

P.S... Mr Rowett if you have got the gig, please will you put the pride back into this club and make all of us eat humble pie.

Certainly seems that way because we don't need to re-sign anyone !

Well the world has gone mad.
I made a statement to my friend emnez during last weeks game against Aldershot.
It was that i wouldn'tbe at the Pirelli stadium next year if Jimmy Phillips was given a contract.
The guy is absolutely useless.
Will never be any good.
I will stick to my word as ive think giving Rowett the go ahead to sign up players of Jimmys calabre shows he hasn't got a clue.
Enjoy my fellow brewers cos i wont be there next season.

Ditto Pez, we might as well go and watch Gresley (no direspect to them) because they definately have players of better quality and are cheaper to watch !
I as you well know have become totally disillusioned over the course of the season and this annoucement has done even more damage. I consider myself an ex Brewer now along with many of my mates. I refuse to pay to watch players clearly not up to the job.
By current thinking i expect Blanchet to get a new contract and be team captain next season !
DISGUSTED

Well thats it then Rowett has got the job and i wont be buying a season ticket.Like you guys im fed up with the whole set up down there. Its got to the point now that ive lost interest and the sooner we get back in to the Conference the happier Ben will be,its pathetic.Just wondering where Pez is watching his football next season because i think i will join him.

I'm sticking with what will be Burton Albion ladies u16's next season in the Staffordshire County league !
Far better entertainment and enjoyment ! Then i can have the afternoons free to myself again which i've done for the latter half of this season enjoying other hobbies and interests.

I think I'll be watching Stapenhill a lot more next season. I can't believe Phillips has already made 88 appearances. On the plus side, I'm pleased that Dyer will be here for at least another season (if he signs).
