Hello guys, I've always wondered this, but why dont Forest sell the naming rights to The City Ground? I know it's a sacred name, but let's be honest, no matter what the name "officially" is, it will always be The City Ground to us fans.
I bring this up as surely we could demand a £5m per year sponsorship for naming rights? This could in theory give us 3 or 4 good signings per season. I wouldn't mind one bit for the sake of quality and success for our stadium to be called The Tesco Arena (or similar).
What's your thoughts on this...

If we could get £5m a year then maybe. But I can't see it. Can't see anyone paying enough to make it worth it. I'm not sure I like the idea anyway. It's selling your soul.

Unfortunately it is the way football is going.
We already have "in the ground" sponsorship.
The I've got no Moneyshop stand & VC corner
We could however cash in on the BC stand. I would think companies would love to be associated with it.
EG: The Brian Clough (insert soft drink) Stand
Also, we need to get up to date and get a big screen in one of the corners of the Trent End. That too could be sponsored. Also have multiple sponsors all over it at half time. Half-time shoot outs sponsored by local business. £1,000 all contributes to the coffers.
It needs a long look at it but it wouldn't bother me. The Geordies still call their stand St James' and Derby still call theirs Prideless Park I've never understood why they removed the "less". After all being famous for LESS points than any other Premiership club should be something to shout about
