Indeed. Lineker was all about finding a yard of space and finishing. Outside the box, he was ordinary. In fact, people used to say he couldn't play the game outside the area.

People were raving about Chich in his first season. His form drops this season and suddenly he's garbage

He hasn't been on the bench though. He's been in an out and is getting experience. He's only had one year as a pro.

I agree the media go overboard, but Sky do it with every PL game too.

Just watch Utd vs City on Monday and listen to some of the garbage they will come out with. There will be world class 5 yard passes all over the shop from Silva and Rooney.

Side note: Benzema was signed the year before Mourinho took over at Madrid.
