a football ground in Beeston takes some out-of-the-box thinking, the likes of which have never been seen before.

Bates saved us twice and I for one will not hear a bad word against him. Several bad words, however, are more than permissable.

"Get rid of drains on the club" ... I wouldn't class this as done personally, there's a big fat one in ill health somehow managing to cling on to the last thread of life in him, just to spite us all.

The thing I find hard to understand Jonty, is that too many people have already made their mind up regarding the upcoming season and written it off. This in turn creates a bad vibe and tips the balance between those who are wary and those who cannot be swayed form unrelenting hatred for the board.

So you're basically saying, the unrest around the club is the cause of all the unrest, rather than there being an actual reason for it.

What is wrong with tipping the balance in favour of wanting a change in the boardroom? Your post strongly implies that negativity from fans, writing off the season and etc will cause more on the fencers to jump down onto the side of bates out, and further implies that that would somehow be bad. Why would it be bad for people to see what's staring them straight in the face?

Every season is written off by many,its called the Bates factor, total negativity created by that lovely man.
