http://www.football-league.co.uk/championship/news/20110706/bates-leeds-eyeing-four-signings_2293322_2387435
highlights include:
"i can confirm we are in serious discussions with a number of players. we are looking to sign four players"
"nobody is leaving leeds united. we have had one offer for a player and we said no"
"our aim is to get into the premier league, and not be a breeding ground for others."
i'm sure some will think this is more bates spin. But i for one see this as a positive.

A positive article from the Chairman.
I have not heard or read him say anything other than this anywhere else.
The negativity comes from doubters on here who have simply not been told who we are looking to buy with one or two simply not believing anything he does say.
Congratulations re your approach to the WUM. He'll get the message eventually.
MOT! Onwards and upwards.

Boggers Naylor certainly did take us forward when he returned, we looked much steadier in defence.

Fair pint Jonty, but we have Kisnorbo back, & therefore OB, Bromby, & Bruce are left to fight for one spot. Difficult to see where Naylor who is coming to the end of his career & no doubt wanting regular footy would fit in to the side

So, Boggers back to the point, isn't it a good day seeing as we didn't give anyone away today?

Clearly a good day. Will be better when 1 or more of the 4 actually put pen to paper

WW consider yourself called a cynic. But I take your point. We should see some signings any day now. Pity one of then won't be Charlie Adam. Good signing for Liverpool

i certainly hope kissa comes back as he left off. we've been waiting long enough for his return, in the hope he'll be part of the solution to our defensive problem.
the fear is he doesn't. a lot of the defense had moments when they looked pretty good. it's just the majority of the time, they were shocking.
dare i say it, a couple of astute signings and they may get drilled into a solid unit, and we go through the season with a more permanent back 4, who get to know each others game a bit better.
i can dream can't i?
