Yaya Toure

The player Diaby was meant to be.. Alot of you will disagree but i honestly think hes as good as Vieira in his prime.

"When I first read this I literally LOL.

I read it as Diaby is as good as Vieira in his prime

Yaya is a great player and could have been ours if Gazidis wasnt such a penny pinching, transfer delaying negotiator. Transfers all went downhill after Dein left."

Dein was still here when we wanted Yaya! And we didn't get him because we couldn't get him a work permit and he didn't want to go on loan. Blame UK laws not that Gazidis.

Yaya couldn't get a special talent permit but Denilson did I think they need to fix up that process..

Hes good yeah and maybe I'm biased but I think saying he's as good as Vieira is going a bit far.

maybe Denilson was also dealing Coke which increased his special talent criteria?

And we didn't get him because we couldn't get him a work permit

What are you talking about?

So we took his brother, we took eboue and couldn't get work permit for Yaya? We owned Beveren at the time. Arsene didn't fancy Yaya. Thats all. Nothing to do with work permits.

Arsene does make mistakes in player assessments. Happens to all managers.

Eboue and Kolo were already internationals when they came to Arsenal, Yaya wasn't. Wenger said that Yaya became impatient and decided to move to Ukraine instead of waiting.

Doesn't matter. The reason for buying into Beveren (which we were forced to sell cause it was quite illegal, and exposed too late by newsnight) was because of its lax rules on getting 'rights of stay' for immigrants. Beveren were playing all African teams on our behest, that caused a backlash from their supporters.

Arsene could have easily got Yaya. He brought him in on a trial after the Beveren fiasco and didn't think he would make it. So he was sold to Shakhtar. A mistake that he has admitted to and regrets. Yaya has improved massively since those days.

Just a very good player that got away. The club released a lot of 'fog' on work permits to justify their mistake.

In fact a certain Gervinho was also an indirect Arsenal player at the time

in Belgium. So that they could passports. Quite dodgy.

And do you know who part owns the African academies that mainly find those players incl Yaya and Kolo?

*cough* Our manager.
