Can anyone remember the statement made by Bobby Elstone along the lines of............"we base our budget on a 17th position finish, and being knocked out of the cups in the first round we play in"

At £800,000 a place finish, & a semi final, is it fair to expect David to have a transfer fund this summer ?

Sorry CE, possibly not. The budge prduced may well have shown a £10 million loss, our dramatic improvement and cup run may well mean we break even and still have no funds!

Be nice to sign a few in the summer though. Would be happy if we could get Drenthe on the straight and narrow as if he settles down he'll be a great player. Think £5 million will be set aside for Pienaar which will probably account for most of the budget though I'm afraid.
