They reckon he's gonna get a 9-15 game suspension in the papers. He's a complete tool.

Barton is nothing but a common yob who doesn't deserve the honour of being a Pro footballer.
I hope he gets his contract cancelled at QPR and banned for 2 years, by which time everyone will have forgotten about him.

Apart from Barton being banned, is there not an arrest in his future for that stupid kick after the original incident. Does it qualify as an "assault"?
Perhaps the legal experts might comment on this?
Assuming that he is allowed to play next year, why would any team want him?

Technically an assault is an action which causes the victim to apprehend the immediate infliction of unlawful force, rather than the infliction of it, which would be a battery (occasionally called simple physical assault).
There's no point following it up as it won't get him anything significant. I would also add that the Police are free to make an arrest on their own incentive - Man City wouldn't have to complain.
If Aguero wanted to have fun he could sue him in the tort of trespass to the person (a civil claim) - he wouldn't get much but he would successfully annoy Barton!
