Well I personally have to take my hat off to Mr Megson, I, along with many others wasn’t all that impressed by the arrival of Mr Megson, but I always trust in what MM has in his sights. He’s worked with the Ginger Ninja before and must see something he likes!
What has made me wryly smile is how Meggo is going about the acquisition of his playing staff; he’s not panic buying or snapping up the entire old Chelsea pensioners free transfer club. He’s got rid of the deadwood and is finely balancing the team and bench for a hopeful season ahead!
He’s signed an experienced, vocal leader for the back to partner either the youthful Johnson, Beevers (or Batth) he’s signed a nippy, tough tackling, passionate LEFT FOOTED LB. Kept on arguably our best defender last season (never thought I’d say that about Buxton, but he was once Meggy joined)
He’s acquired 2 good proven CM in Jesus and Semedo, we still have Coke and then the water boy JOC for the JPT matches!
We all know what JJ is capable of, if he can play as well as we know he can for 20-25 games, he’ll destroy teams on his own! Add to this the hopeful signing of the LEFT FOOTED LM Llloyd Dyer and my god, our wings could be extremely uncomfortable for the opposition and with Jesus and Semedo the centre should be impenetrable!
I can see Meggy’s vision and it’s a bright one, just complete the Dyer signing, bring us a proven goal scorer plus one young up and coming premier league laddo, even maybe chuck in 1 more RM and I tell you what……………..
I’ll be having £20 on us to go up!
In Megson I am now trusting!
UTO WTID
Pleasantly Surprised!

So that's 4-4-2, who's going to partner Madine up top?

Good point Mike, although I think we know Megson is also looking at a striker (Mellor or Scotland are teh two getting linked).
As for teh rest of teh squad you an kind of see what Megson is doing. Question is whether the right QUALITY is there, not just the right type of player. Semedo has had a great year last year but can he replicater it? Can Prutton look like the championship player he was, rather than the one who was relegated from L1 last year? Can Coke stay off the pies long enough to run around? How will the new look defence gel?
What we CAN say is that our squad looks a bit better than last year, we have decent cover in most positions, and IF they gel we'll at least be tough to score against which is a prerequisite for (at least) a play-off place.

I thought with Coke it was the lager and the ciggies?

Anyroad, I just remembered we've still got Big Clint, I reckon Meggy has kept JOC so he can wheel Clinton around on a sack barrow.
