That's the key words. Reality is we definitely didn't want him. He had no choice to make. I'm not saying that IF we were interested, he would have DEFINITELY chosen us over you. But to be honest, we have CL football and you don't so the likely scenario is that he PROBABLY would have chosen us over you.

He is a good player, much better than anything you have at the back. It should cheer you up a little bit.

I know Vertonghen was at WHL on Sunday. Not seen any credible links that he would still come without CL football though.
