Took their time over the Kelly England news or the van Gaal rumours too. I think it's normally because they like to have quotes and unquestionable reliability before they post, which is fair enough.

I suspect it is to do with the fact that football news comes quite slowly this time of year, so they're spreading out their announcements a bit

probably also due to the fact that it's not news.
