Hines and Williams.

Hi Boro fans, Bwfc fan in peace!

Having been linked to Both Seb Hines and Rhys Williams, after pinching Wheater back in Jan, i was wondering what the crack is with both of them?

Are they good enough to play at Premier Level? Room for improvement maybe?

Williams is a great player, I was hoping his injury-hit season last year was gonna keep him under the radar do that we'd get another season outta him.

Hines is ok... to be honest, he hasn't played that much for us, but did well when he did. He's still pretty much an unknown quantity though, seems a bit injury prone too.

Coyle appears to be a big fan of your youth academy. Williams has been on Coyle radar for a while now and i fancy our chances of signing him.

Coyne managed Williams whilst on loan at Burley when they won promotion to the Prem 3(?) years back so has had a better look at the lad then most of the Boro faithfull.

Williams is a tidy, no thrills player imo. His reputation grew in his absence as the team where pants and he was out injured for most of last season. before which he'd had a decent, if unspectacular season under Southgate.

So whilst Mogga rates Williams highly, you'd be buying potential rather than finished product.

Heinz on the other hand is a decent squad player for a CCC team - I wouldn't get excited or be impressed at being linked if I where a Bolton fan!

If you get Williams you will be doing well, but I think he will give it at least until January to see how we go before leaving, and at the prices currently being quoted I would seriously doubt it at anytime soon.

Hines on the other hand is a squad player so I dare say any kind of half decent offer and you would be able to take him although Im not sure he is Premiership quality at them moment.

williams is brilliant. composed on the ball, hard in the tackle and can score goals. It's just a pity that nobody knows his best position. for me it's central midfield but that's our strongest area. i can't see him going unless he asks for a transfer. hines is a squad player. ok but not amazing. wouldn't be too disappointed to see him go for a decent fee. both have questions regarding their injury record. we can't afford to let go of any more players without bringing in as our squad isn't big enough.

Mowbray said clearly that Williams wasn't going anywhere, that we don't need to sell him, so I hope he sticks to his guns. He's one of our best players, real class.

Hines is really an unknown quantity. He seems decent, and probably the type of player Mowbray wants for the type of money Hines will be getting. Bolton aren't going to offer silly money for an unknown and I would think Mowbray would be inclined to keep him.

So unless Bolton come in with a very big joint offer, I can't see either player going.
