If there has ever been a reason that penalty shoot-outs should be kept in football, today was that reason.
Huddersfield Town vs Sheffield United.
League 1 playoff final.
Wembley Stadium.
After 120 minutes of goalless, but exciting football, every player from both teams was called upon to take one of 11 penalty kicks each.
It was 7-7 when it came down to the goalkeepers.
And Huddersfield came out on top. Emotions of both extremes exploded out of Wembley stadium. Tears of agony and joy cascaded out of the stands and the finest of lines between victory and defeat was clear for all to see in the London sunshine.
Mr.Blatter, take that!
Penalty shoot-outs.

I love them! Any games knock-out games United arnt involved in I always want it to go to penalties!
Its too stressful when United are involved though. I stopped breathing when Terry when up to take his penalty in Moscow! Must have ripped out half my hair that night

If there has ever been a reason that penalty shoot-outs should be kept in football - it's because Blatter wants to get rid of them!

No, penalties should stay!, If your team are shambles at penalties, they are shambles at penalties innit, though I'm sure England must hoping they will be no more penalty shoot outs

"Mr Chairmain why are you so against the penalties" asked the journo sniffing the air for for any odd angle to dangle his story..
Hrrumph the chief said , someone has to look out for those poor fans that have weak bladders, seb Blatter pointed his finger to his nose ,turned smartly on his heel, and left the room, but not without one final retort,
mann, hunt , si si , mai oui oui.
