Day 3 and the bottom half of the draw start their run. Scheduling needs some serious work. Everyday some matches have to be carried on to the next day.
Yesterday brought some interesting results. Old timers Nalbandian and Davy biting dust while Llodra prevailed even on this slow clay. Hard luck for Bogo and very poor from the chair umpire and officials. Haas is looking to win his match today.
A tough day for me in the prediction game. Lets see what the new day has in store for me.
1. Tatsuma Ito(JPN) vs. Andy Murray(GBR)[4]
My pick: Murray will win this in 4 sets. He will slug it out.
2. Jeremy Chardy(FRA) vs. Yen-Hsun Lu(TPE)
Chardy for me.
3. James Blake(USA) vs. Mikhail Youzhny(RUS)[27]
Ol' Blaky is playing but, I don't expect him to win.
4. Donald Young(USA) vs. Grigor DiMitrov(BUL)
The baby Fed and the "Young" American. I'm going with the baby Fed.
5. Ivan Dodig(CRO) vs. Robin Haase(NED)
Match of the day for me. Hasse in 4
6. Juan Ignacio Chela(ARG) vs. Marcos Baghdatis(CYP)
Baggy will take this in 5. Will be a battle of nerves, stamina.
7. Eduardo Schwank(ARG) vs. Ivo Karlovic(CRO)
Karlo in 4 with 3 going into TB.
8. Jarkko Nieminen(FIN) vs. Igor Andreev(RUS)
Fin will Win this in 4.

Do they have their own thread? I don't seem able to see it. Is it because I filtered the author?

yes, they have their own cheering squad and a place. Surprisingly amri is missing, it seems he has been chased away from all the forums.

MCH started a thread called 'The King of Clay, and tennis generally'. That alone made me stir fry crazy but some of the drivel they put on there hoooly moly its poor stuff.
Btw tenez about the bit for the french not calling out i think i agree except im not sure if this counts but remember that very long 4 setter a few years back between nadal and PHM? PHM was playing some great tennis and the crowd did cheer in anticipation as they thought he had won the point but then ended up losing it due to rafa defense. But i guess that happens all the time with the home crowd.

I looked at that thread briefly and I think leeds said that nalby is a talented player and to that MCH was saying that if he is talented then why doesn't he win?

Yes. The noise of the crowd is something which TV channels are more or less good at dampening. The USO for instance is much louder live than it can appear on TV. The Wimbledon cheering when Henman, Murray are playing is extremely impressive too. Especially as they can be relatively silence at times but suddenly can roar all at once. I remember Murray Gasquet or Murray Wawrinka under the roof and that was pretty impressive.

when its rocking just the roar of the french crowd is epic. IMO when the noise rises and rises like a storm it is just fantastic. I think they are the worst but at times also the best.
The US crowd annoys me.

I wanted to reply that the same way talentless moonballer has won 10 slams .
Regarding crowds, every slam has their own, I think aussies are quite good. Wimby is too posh, americans are too rowdy and French could feel to be very biased. I was watching the analysis and all the commentators were of the view that umpire did not get it right for Razzano match but at the same time i dont think that booing was needed.

I wouldn't disagree much. Me, tenez and nole are quite anti nadal. HB, summerblues are neutral, don't think rotla is.
