I'm not going to have a pop at Wenger, he's brought on and developed some great players and in the past has given Arsenal lots of pots.
What it seems though is that he's become a proud householder. He has built his house, put in all the refinements he can and loves his house the way it is.
Others are saying, oh the decking that was O'Shea needs fixing or the electrics that was Bridge needs ripping out. We have heard strange things coming from our sound system called tevez so we might have to look for a Bengt and Oulson equivelent.
I dont think that Wenger sees that, hence the statement about buying players yesterday, its easy to spend money but you have to identify players who are better than you have. In Wengers eyes no players are better than the one's he's developed. I dont think its his ego or arrogance, just a blind spot were he sees the inglenook fireplace and not the dry rot in the floorboards.
This isnt meant to get at Arsenal or Wenger, just an observation of what seems to be going on from the outside. I like the type of football Arsenal play and too be honest hope your in the top four next season again but just not at our expense.

Didnt say he wasnt, just think he has too narrow a view at the moment and needs possibly to widen his focus

It is abundantly clear that wenger is trying to offload several players, while trying to buy several others.... so i'm not convinced by this 'blindspot' theory, although in a couple of cases he seems to have more faith in certain players than the majority of the fans.
That said, he always said fabianski was a decent keeper, the majority of fans strongly disagreed... then he came in last season, had a run of games and looked darn good... until he got injured and lost his place to chesney. Now most fans are happy to go into next season with chesney and fabianski as numbers 1 and 2.

As is every club, however Wenger has been told he has the cash to spend so surely its better to spend early rather than wait and have some of your targets snapped up by others?
Also its abundantly clear that some players he doesnt want to go are determined to find their way out. For your sake I hope that doesnt happen unless of course we benefit with Nasri. I wouldnt want to see some of your players end up at yours and our rivals and strengthening their squads.
Re Fabianski, I'm sure he just needed confidence, however with a couple of slip ups and the Arsenal crowd getting on his back again? Well anything could happen.
