What is everyone's predictions for next season?
I'm hoping we can push for play-offs. I think if we get a few new faces in this is achievable.
We need a striker who will put his self about and not be afraid to get in the box. I'm a big fan of Stuart Beavon from Wycombe but can't really see the Rovers signing him.

Hird left cos he can play every game, wasn't guaranteed it at Rovers.

IF, and its a big IF, we sign the 7/8 players Deano has had talks with then I'd be disappointed not to finish in the top 6.
Could even go as far as to say winning the league is not a million miles away as there are lots of things going on at the moment behind closed doors. This coming season the board will be pushing to get back into the Championship, as its a massive drop in revenue they need, but there are willing to give it a go this coming year. So dont believe all you hear about certain things concerning no money at the club ( for this season anyway ).
There is a plan in progress, their just keeping it in house.

Hound: I too agree with your summary and conclusions. It used to go incredibly quiet in the summer when SOD was there and now they have reversed that policy and put out information which is not always totally cohesive, but at least gives some flavour of what is going on. And I think that although we may wonder exactly where things are going we can at least beieve that people are working hard to bring it all together for next season.
It is pleasing that the entire management are planning to have a session with the fans. I welcome their willingness to face questions and whilst they may not give all the answers we would ideally like they are exposing their strategy, getting feedback and generally displaying good customer relations.

It's true, football supporters ARE fickle. Last season, after SoD left and Mackay took over, there was a story every five minutes about who we were going to sign. This got on the nerves of many.
Now, since Mackay's plan and he left, there is NOT the same hype about who we are after and who we are not, yet the sound of silence is deafening.
In the end, we will end up with a competative team and as others have said, there is a ot going on in the background. Wait till the 18th, I am sure they are not holding a meeting to say hello to everyone, they have better things to do with their time.

First comment on this forum. I would like to be positive but will wait to se what happens on June 18th. I can't see John Ryan not giving us the means to compete at the top end of the table.

Thanks newyankee, this seems one of the more sensible forums. I've enjoyed reading the views expressed by the Rovers fans on here.

Welcome dartmouth nice to see another rovers fan on here. I think this meeting as NY says will clear up a few things and set out a vision for the forthcoming season.
