International tornaments have become boring

Yes there was a time like 1998,200,2002,2004,2006 and even 2008 when I used to feel excited about international football tournaments like FIFA World Cup and Euros when I would never miss even 1 minute of international football matches in these tournaments but afterbeing bored to death by 2010 World Cup I am feeling bored with all the hype about Euros this time around and I can't be bothered to watch any match before quarter-final stage at least and still I don't think that there will be many exciting matches to watch.
I am awaiting start of Premiership season 2012/2013 and Champions League next season will be quite interesting to watch.

Also after getting used to watching high standard football of Premiership,La Liga,Bundesliga and Champions League I usually find it international matches usually quite boring to watch!

Does anyone agree with me?

Fellow Chelsea and Arsenal fans?

I thought the matches were good
international play is a welcomed departure from club play...

that is of course until the most annoying teams end up in the final and nobody cares who wins

So far 3 of the 4 matches have been entertaining (the Germany Portugal match was pretty awful for 70 minutes).

We've yet to see teh Irish and the English - two teams which usually produce good tournament matches, and of course Spain play Italy today

Looking good so far...

The English? Good tournament matches? You must be living in a different universe.

The tournament has been very good so far. Only four matches in and we have had 3 semi-classics already:
- a two red card/ersatz goalkeeper saves penalty/star studded home team held at bay by limited side down to 10 men nailbiter (Poland - Greece)
- defensive heroics of underdogs against vastly superior tournament co-favorites who dazzled in offense but failed to convert their chances
- brilliant display of Russia - a performance on par with the best performances in the history of the EC
And even the Portugal-Germany match was brilliant in the last 20mins, and had a lot of tension and intensity (if not class) before that, with the Boateng-Ronaldo battle the highpoint.
