Circuit of the Americas

Looks a good circuit, Im not sure if it will do better than Indianapolis, I wouldn't mind seeing Magny Cours return to be honest!

Is it me or does anyone else here think that they have made the same mistake of making huge tarmac run off areas behind every corner? Possibly could ruin what is overall a good opportunistic circuit.

I go by what I have said for years, F1's safety is getting ridiculous, bring back sandtraps, get rid of huge run off areas, make the cars faster! If they are the best drivers in the world, and with such high salaries, they should be taking a risk or two more! Bring the ultimate show back into F1 I say!

Just a suggestion, do not kill the messenger, could you also post a link showing the track, would make the article that much better.

Many thanks

MUDD... Think of a Hermann Tilke track and you've got it, 1 quick bit a couple of long straights leading into hairpins.... though it does have some elevation change so i could be proved wrong, here's a good video -

Looks very samey as Albert says.

Take a few cool corners, probably inspired by Becketts and Maggotts, add them to a couple of long straights and hair-pins designed to aid over-taking, throw in massive run offs and the obligatory slow (safe) corners, and you get a pretty dull track.
