My view on this weeks events...

Hello all Sorry I haven't been around for a couple weeks, exams are a <bitch> Thought I'd give my view on this weeks (disasterous?) events....

So to start, Redknapp. I'm not to sure sacking him was the right decision. Of course, he had his faults and at times made strange decisions but now he's actually gone, the more I think he should have stayed. He managed the three best consecutive finishes we've had in years and is arguably the best manager I've seen at Spurs in my lifetime. By sacking him we could potentially undo a lot of the great work that's happened over the past 4 years.

So who to replace him? The bookies favourite seems to be AVB. I think Chelsea was a good experience for him, and if he corrects his faults and keeps to our attacking style of play I think he'd be a good appointment, as long as our players don't give him a hard time. I also wouldn't mind Moyes, who'd probably be the safest bet. I don't want Capello though. Despite his track record, I'd want a manager who can actually speak English, although he could attract names from Italy. Apparently Didier Deschamps is unemployed currently and I think Levy should also take a look at him.

My last point is, I'm not sure if it's happening on ja606, but when Inwas reading the comments on Phil McNulty's blog there were a lot of Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea fans saying they wouldn't consider us for top 8 next season. If Modric and Bale left and we didn't buy anyone to replace them (which is extremely unlikely) I think that we'd still have a team that could challenge for Europa. Huddlestone could do a great job and if Pienaar could get some of his form from Everton he could also do a great job on the left wing. Of course, everyone's entitled to their own opinions, and this is mine
