Seen a few articles about signings for next season. Whilst 95% of it is all from rumours from caughtoffside and gossip column etc i think the only one so far which seems like it is going to happen is Sigurdsen.
Ive also seen a number of people leaving Andy Carroll out of the xi for next season and then others saying we need a new striker. Whilst i agree we do need a new striker, i must say i have a lot of confidence in Andy and i think he can be a massive player for next season.
My team for next season at the moment is:

Together with Sterling, Flanagan (who i think should go out on loan, Robinson. Suso.
I do think a new striker should then be signed, but that Carroll should get the nod for the begining of the season as he is looking great and i do think he is going to become some player for us.
Then i do hope we sign a new right midfielder in the summer and if so that would relegate downing to the bench for out best 11. I hope for the right midfielder to be the Walcott, Lennon, Oxlade Chamberlain type player, someone with pace who can run at the defense and carry the ball.
Looking at our side though it is a good team and with the inroduction of only 1 or 2 players it only needs someone who can get the best out of it - lets hope Rodgers is that man!

I think Kenny should have got another year. We were playing the right, attacking football and creating chances left right and centre.
But that's water under the bridge now.
at least Rodgers will contiue in a similar style.

I think useless is a bit extreme however I agree, our football was terrible, cringe-worthy. All huff and puff but no end product. Dreadful attacking play, which got progressively worse throughout the season. The worst think for me was that he kept his belief that it would finally work but when it showed to get worse, he showed once that he wanted to change it. I forget the sequence of results but he changed it, we won. He then changed it back, we lost and then he kept it the same the whole way up until the last couple of games of the league campaign.
Whilst he was right, the players couldn't be faulted for their effort, I didn't agree that he should have just stuck with it and believed it would eventually work.

That was the problem all season though TOOR, Kenny was stubborn as a mule and would NOT change his beliefs!!
That's the reason we didn't sign a striker when we needed one so badly in January.

I think he was very stubborn in terms of his system but I'm not sure how much he can be blamed for not signing a striker.

I had a giant response written re: Rodgers, signings, what went wrong under Kenny and what Rodgers will do with the current squad (painstakingly done on my phone, no less), and when I went to post it, my phone said I'd lost wi-fi connection and I can't retrieve what I wrote.

Well I have no problems with that. However I'm optimistic you'll see that you are wrong when the new season is halfway through. Change of system is all we needed and Kenny didn't do it.

I would never attempt to write a long response on my phone, on here. It gets so frustrating deleting words when your finger can't hit the key you want on the touchscreen and it types something else.
