i can't believe English media pundits acclaim Wayne Rooney as world class. he's lucky and priveliged to have shared the pitch with a world class talent tonight and lucky to have been born on the same planet as Leo Messi.
on a side note England make Greece look gung-ho. boring boring boring.
time for a major rethink on this island and teach the kids not how to tackle and run and run but to pass and control first time in tight spaces.
the parents are the problem for me as all they want is for their kids team to win, not how their kid is developing technically
So so much to learn

Polb that goes weirhout saying. Guys like Ronaldo n Messi are true world class players. Guys that can single handedly win a game.
Rooney and the rat of the England team fall light years short of thatcquality

I'm struggling to recall a better midfield show than that
master class is overused but I think we can roll it out with a red carpet tonight

tone and to think milan dumped him a year ago. 33 now and the way he plays football he could play for 5 more years. closest to xavi or iniesta you'll get and maybe if he had messi, pedro and villa beside him he could have proved himself even better

IMO, Kids should not play 11 a side until they are at least 10-11 years old.
Should be about learning to pass. About learning to control a ball - some of the skills shown last night killing a 60 yard pass stone dead whilst turning was exceptional.
But instead, last night will be lauded as a battling defensive display by an under strength team, who were unlucky to lose in the lottery of penalties.
"If Frank was playing", or "If Bale was available".... will be what is written and discussed.
And that after one of the most one sided games England have ever played.
They got a footballing lesson last night, from a team who probably won't make the final.
And Shearer says "England are the 5th 6th or 7th best team in the world" - England are not even the 5th, 6th 7th best team in EUROPE!!!!
To our English posters - just be glad England went out last night - Germany could have put 5 or 6 past that England team.
