Leek Lark is hot favourite to get the Birmingham job, how do you think he will do with no money? MIRF what do you think ? It will certainly test his management skills.

Jacko,
You and 38 just don't get it do you? - Clark's squad WAS good enough, because it was HIS squad that got us promoted.

Mirf, I do actually 'get it'. The thing is, it's not just about having a squad of players is it..otherwise why would you need coaches and managers ?
The tricky part, as Clarky found out, is not the assembling of a large number of players, it's the skillfull blending to produce a side that acheives your aims ie promotion.
Clark failed, Grayson succeeded. What else is there to say about it ?

Promoted by the gods smiling on us, Larry had a bit of luck, Has it not also been said that Larry brought a much more relaxed attitude to things, Whereas Clarky would have lost it under pressure ? Mirf - He spent an absolute fortune of Deanos money, On many occasions our expensively assembled side were outfought and out thought by teams assembled on peanuts run by gaffers who have not played for Newcastle or Fulham or represented England at U21 level,,,, I always think a good manager is one who can assemble a side and work with the players he has at his disposal, Not bring oodles of em in every season and fall out with half of em after six months.

Anyway i dont like Brum, They are welcome to him, Only good thing about Brum is their rendition of Harry Lauders "great war" British infantry marching song. If only we had something as good.

clark had 5 goes at winning a play off match.. won one on penalties, the game itself could have gone either way..
graysons record is won 2 lost one.. won on penalties in a game which i believe we had the best chances and should have won in normal time..
main thrust of the above is that you can lose a game and still prevail.. dependant on how positive you are in the others..
clarks main failing.....we all know it, even mirf..

CLARK: P30 - W14 - D13 - L3 - 55 Pts = 1.833 Pts/game.
GRAYSON: P16 - W7 - D5 - L4 - 26 Pts = 1.625 Pts/game.
So no matter how you lot look at it, Clark's record was superior to Grayson's in all respects and as I've said previously, the only difference was that Grayson had more luck than Wor Lee.
Irrespective of who had been in charge for the last 16 games, the end product would have still been the same, simply because it was Town's time for Promotion and it was written in the stars, just the same as it was recently when Chelsea lifted the Champions league Cup.

How on earth did the Brum end up having a club song that is a Scots tune ??? Mirf - It would not have ended the same if Clarky had been in charge for the play offs,, Sorry old boy, But it just wouldnt !

Brycey,
With Clarky in charge we wouldn't have needed the play-off's.
Anyhow I must rush off now as I need a new pair of shoes - where to? - Clark's shoe shop in Town of course - where else for quality footwear.
