Morning all,
Tuned into BBC Sport this morning to check the sportsday page, and this one popped up:
The agent of Fiorentina winger Juan Manuel Vargas tells www.tuttomercatoweb.com that Liverpool are interested in signing the Peru international. "Liverpool is an option, but there is also Malaga that has the fascination of playing in next season's Champions League," said Jorge Cyterszpiler.
Anyone know what he's like? And would you be happy with him next season? Where would he play?
Juan Manuel Vargas

Vargas is a quality left sided player capable of playing LWB/LW. Has plenty of strength and mobility, and puts a good cross into the box.
Would be a good signing for you guys

Has a fierce left foot but not very skilful. I somehow doubt it cos he's 28 now and FSG won't make the Downing mistake again.

Malaga will offer 9 times the amount of money we could

Downing is a better player on the wing and Enrique is a better playing at left-back. Is he available on the cheap as a very good squad player?

He's quality on fm2012 - never seen him in real life though, so make of that what you will.

Would rather Adam Johnson myself at least proven in Premiership and can play both sides

Is he proven Premier League*** quality though? What has he proved in the Premier League? He can sit on the bench?

We've been linked on and off with him for 12-18 months at least. I suspect this is an old story recycled, along with Vargas looking to drum up some interest in him.
