good evening reds.....
the appointment of brendan rodgers really has me sitting squarely on the fence
as regarding how well or how bad we are going to do in the upcoming season..
on one hand we have a young up and coming manager who had swansea playing some great stuff last year and to be honest , a young manager who was badly needed to shake things up after kenny and especially the damage done under roy hodgson .........and this could turn out to be a masterstroke for getting us back towards the champions league
on the other hand ....the man lacks experience for such a huge job like liverpool fc ....and it is without a doubt the poisoned chalice of english premiership football........and thats what has be very worried that we could be heading for a 3-4 year stretch without champions league........
so im on the fence for now
im neither optimistic nor pessimistic

Liverpool will overtake Tottenham next season...Modric, Adebayor and Van der fart carried spurs to 4th last year with them leaving this summer it looks bad if your a spurs fan.
Tottenham will regret not taking Rodgers.

Don, but Rodgers performed better than AVB did in the Premier League. So while AVB has the more successful past, it wasn't in English football, so one could argue he is the bigger risk.

Rodgers for me is a calculated risk, but a risk nonetheless. How he copes with the pressure and the quality of his signings will shape his future. Hopefully, we will get a bit more luck this season, than the team did last season.
The poo squat flop's poor handling of his players was what stood out. He was a man management disaster. Not an easy dressing room to manage admittedly, but he made an utter pigs ear of it.

Both managers are risks in their respective right.
Regardless of what they have done before; no-one knows how they will perform with a new club.
I am happy enough to see how Brendan Rodgers does at Liverpool, but having said that, I wouldn't have been disappointed if we had got RVP either.
My opinion is that both clubs have got potentially good managers, and both are potential risks for different reasons: We just have to wait and see what happens.
