Steve C

I for one am sorry to see Steve go. He deserved a chance after keeping us up. I hope he has walked with the remainder of his contract.

I am not letting myself get caught up in all the hype. If the new owners are going to be spending their own money aka Nigel and not expect it back, then fine, but if they are doing what the Glazers have done at Man Utd then we are fcuked.

Starting to think that this is going to turn out more like Portsmouth than Man City

Just hope I am wrong

Chillax! If you were gonna throw £x million at something, wouldn't you want to be extra sure that you had the right man at the helm?

Whilst I'm sad to see Steve go (I thought he deserved a chance), I can see why it has been done. Hopefully the next managerial appointment is a bl00dy good one!

Just another owner with no honour, Cotterill.performed miracles last year, and this is the thanks he gets.

Miracles? Wouldn't go that far. He did well, and I'm sure he will walk into another job (hopefully). Right after he's spent some of his no doubt MASSIVE payoff!
Thanks Steve

Yeah, respect to Steve - I liked him. But come on Trent End, don't be so miserable - see what happens. The club is afloat again and the new owners are very much entitled to bring in their own man. Some Forest fans will never see anything as positive.

But isn't that the point, the new Owners are not honourable people and neither is the new manager if he has already been interviewed and accepted.

Why should the players trust an of them?

I don't think it makes them at all not honourable - it's a business. I liked Cotts, but he didn't really do enough to make a new owner feel as though they had to keep him. They have to try and get the best out of their investment. Just hope they make the right choice.

Yeah, I can see why they acted, he hasn't got them a single point since they took over and they have been so patient with him. He had a contract, they should have honoured that contract and given him a chance. He deserved at last a month of the season.

" He deserved at last a month of the season"

Yeah that makes sense, billp. Give him money to buy a load of players and after a month (that he 'deserved', when they may realise it was wrong to keep him, appoint a new manager and give that one a load more money! Nice wastage.

You don't give a manager a month just because he deserves it. You either stick with him or change. They decided the latter. Fairplay.

Anyway thanks for your concern billp, now off to your board.

Original Red, but my point is that they didn't give him any time at all, they couldn't have talked to him in detail about how he saw the club progressing, what players he would like, how they would fit in, earn promotion etc.

They just wanted a big name, to hell with Steve's career. It will be interesting to see if they spend their money or just loan it to the club.

Billp, they did talk to him, deliberated, discussed etc according to accounts. SC has got a good pay off. Everyones happy.
