I believed the team’s performances last season were good enough for me to be given a chance with the new regime and continue to build again for the new season.

“Nethertheless, I wish the club every success for the future. I would also like thank my staff, players and the supporters, including sutton; I enjoyed a fantastic relationship with every one of them during my time in charge.
Nice bloke, just not a big enough name and reputation

Come on Sutton - you can leave him alone now - he's gone. There were some bad performances, some okay, and a few great. I thought he was starting to get a hold of teh squad, but I understand the owner's decision. I think a different manager might've taken us down last year - so will be thankful to Steve.

Yeah all in all we can give Steve a pat on his back and say 'all the best', clearly wouldnt wet the appitite of any ambitious owner but did the job (just about) in the end! He's a league 1 manager at best, his roaring like a jackass on the sidelines was embarrassing

I honestly wish him well. I had know bad feelings toward him before he came in to Forest and it was never personal. I just wanted the best for my club.
But IMO that statement is ridiculous. So I think it's fair to laugh at it.

He will have been paid his money to the end of his contract assuming he doesn't slag off Big Al.
Then I'm sure we will see him again, fire fighting at Derby come December

He has just been sacked from a club he obviously wanted to be part of, and he was being magnanimous towards the Forest fans, even the ones that hate him. I don't see anything funny.

We gave him a good opportunity and he failed (don't say he kept us up, or I might lose my mind). And he's probably been paid 500k/750k of our clubs money. So I don't feel sorry for him. And if he's taking rubbish I don't feel bad for laughing at it.

He's gone now, for the best, but whether he blundered his way to it or not - HE KEPT US UP.
